Christmas Angels with flapping wings and ringing bells

08. November 2025 – 08. February 2026

Winged messengers from heaven have always been at the heart of the Christmas story. An angel tells Mary she will give birth to Jesus, and a choir of angels guides the shepherds to the Christ Child on that holy night.
Angels appear in many religions and cultures. Their otherworldly presence has long fascinated artists, inspiring depictions in paintings, ceiling frescoes, stained glass, and sculptures in churches and cemeteries. They are shown as messengers and worshippers, with heavenly hosts lifting their voices in “Gloria in excelsis Deo” in praise of God.
At Christmas, angels also play a key role in our homes, quietly helping to decorate the tree. And when the Christkind has delivered the presents, the gentle tinkle of a bell fills the air. Alongside the imagined rustle of angel wings, these sounds help conjure the magic of the festive season.
