The art of glassblowing: Live demonstration

Hollow glassblowing is an art that has become very rare today and only a few artists still master it. The production of hollow glass animals requires a lot of experience and craftsmanship.

One of these talented artisans is the professional glassblower Georg Krasztinat. As part of the Christmas exhibition Design at the Christmas tree, he shows how magical Christmas tree decorations can be created out of glass rods during a live demonstration in the museum. You will have the unique opportunity to look over his shoulder and ask questions only on the weekend of Saturday, 8 December, and Sunday, 9 December 2018 between 13.30 and 17.30.
